***Only 2-3 Tablespoons of ashes are required per order. If you are not cremating, we can also create the memorials using a small amount of hair/fur as these will turn into ash during the glassblowing process. Details for gathering and shipping the ashes/hair/fur will be emailed to you within 24 hours of receiving your order. Any leftover ashes will be shipped back to you with the finished memorial.***

All of our glass creations are hand-crafted pieces of art; as such, the patterns, colors, and shapes of each piece may vary slightly, which adds to their beauty and uniqueness. No two are exactly alike...each piece is truly an original. All ashes are different; some are very light and powdery, some are very dark and clumpy. This is a result of the diet, medical issues, metal in the body (pins) and/or the cremation process. We double-sift all ashes upon receiving them, but sometimes the sifted ashes clump together in the process of infusing them in the glass under high temperature. We cannot foresee or correct this if it happens. We embrace the ashes as what they are and what they want to do - just like your pet, each one has its own unique personality...

Our glow-in-the-dark pieces are made with our very own BorowGlow™ glass formula - the ONLY glass that truly glows in the dark WITHOUT a continuous light source! The glow material has to be activated first - it can “charge up” in any light: sunlight, incandescent light, LED light, etc. Patience is the key to charging the glow material – it is not instantaneous. Your piece will charge the fastest with a UV black light – it only takes a few minutes to charge up under a blacklight! Once “charged up” your piece will then glow in the dark for several minutes and up to ½ hour, depending on the piece and the length of time charged. The glow will slowly diminish, but a quick recharge will make it super bright again! The glow material never loses its ability to recharge – it will continue to glow for years to come!
