The kit will have detailed instructions on how much, where, and how to send ashes, hair, or fur to, a collection receptacle with your order # on it, and a USPS cardboard envelope (postage not prepaid). Once your memorial is completed and shipped, you will receive a SECOND shipping notification from Etsy. If you have any questions, please contact us.

***Only 1 Tablespoon of ashes are required for each glass memorial. If you are not cremating, we can also create the memorials using a small amount of hair/fur as these will turn into ash during the glassblowing process. Details for gathering and shipping the ashes/hair/fur will be emailed to you upon receiving your order. Any leftover ashes will be shipped back to you with the finished memorial.***

All ashes are different; some are very light and powdery; some are very dark and clumpy. This is a result of the diet, medical issues, metal in the body (pins) and/or the cremation process. We double-sift all ashes upon receiving them, but sometimes the sifted ashes clump together in the process of infusing them in the glass under high temperature. We cannot foresee or correct this if it happens. We embrace the ashes as what they are and what they want to do - just like your loved one or pet, each one has its own unique personality...
